How to Permit System Catalog Modifications in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 ?

  • Open Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Manager.
  • Double Click Microsoft SQL Servers.
  • Double Click SQL Server Group.
  • Select the SQL Server [In most cases, this will be (local)(Windows NT)].
  • Click Action Menu, Click Properties.
  • On the Properties Windows, Select "Server Settings" tab.
  • On Server Behaviour Box, Put a Tick Mark on the Option "Allow modifications to be made directly to the system catalogs".
  • Click Ok.
